Issue with imdb-fetch

It seems that there are some issues with the (new) imdb-fetch scripts (at least on my list)... Some movies take incredibly long to fetch, ~ 4mins. The strange thing is, that it is not reproducible.

Anybody else facing these issues? (tested with the latest imdb-fetch script from here)

Yes, and yes it is reproducable.

It's one of two problems which happened at the same time due to the way IMDB changed their system.

The bug happens when there is an exact match, try "1408" or "Blazing Saddles".

It won't always happen for the second time you try the film, as the data is often cached.

I have no idea how to solve this one

A way around it is to cut letters from the movie title when you search for it, so that IMDB will never find an exact match, and always present you with a list; of course using that method you have to edit the titles after the fetch, but it is a small price to pay. Would still love it if someone found a fix!

Hi Nardak, welcome to the forum!

Also using this work-around... but as until now, I don't know any better solutions (waiting ~ 5mins to have a movie fetched sucks!)

i also got this problem using the actual imdb fetch script.
isnt there anyone here who modified these scripts , or does anyone of you guys know these people or how to contact them ? i think they would be the best choice to ask, because they already knew this scripts.
