Purpose of this Forum

Post  pml2048 on Tue Nov 27, 2007 2:25 pm

As the official Power Movie List site went down during sumer 07, there's no place to share and exchange current files, ideas and improvements. There's also no place to get some support and help...

Wikipedia became the place people "published" their files - this is apparently not the purpose of Wikipedia.

That's why this site has opened:
Everyone is welcome to contribute, i.e. in providing new fetch files, upgrades, improvements, support etc.

A great Product like the PML must not die!

I agree with everything you say - great product and a damn shame the original support has died!

Thanks for putting this site together for people to communicate and fix the problems as they happen (Damn IMDB for making changes!)

Hi, i am new to this powermovielist but it seems interesting. I think we should create 1 foundation for powermovielist. So we can keep on enhancing the script.

And we probably need a new forum with own domain name, own wiki....etc. What do you think?

Of course this is a good idea and I wanted to make one step towards this by creating this forum... But I do not have the ressources (i.e. webspace or big scripting skills) and i did not know how the feedback would be ... as of now, there are only 6 members (thats very few compared with the original PML forums).

To get it fully up again, I think it would be necessary to get in contact with the origin "Project owner" (Niko) maybe there is a possibility to get a backup of the old forum/user base... or to get the contacts of at least some of the old core-team (with lots of know-how according to the PML)
